• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Tire Bling!

How about...

looks great. Congrats..!! Still thinking what to put on ours....:dontknow:
How about your first names? That's what we did--or rather, I did...but my honey, Dee, likes it a lot!

They are easy to put on...just follow the simple directions that are included:

1) Clean the tire--I used nail polish remover.
2) peel the blue protective covering off the white letters.
3) Arrange them face up on the table.
4) use clear packing tape to pick up each string of letters.
5) go over to the bike and hold them up to where you want them. If you have a lot of letters and laid them out straight on the table, you might want to go back to step 3,, and adjust the layout. The tires are round (I know this sounds dumb, but it took me two tries with only 3 letters).
6) open the bottle of glue that is supplied and cover the back side of each letter with it.
7) stick the letters into place, using the packing tape to hold them in place.
8) press each letter in place for maybe 15 seconds to ensure it is attached to the tire.
9) repeat steps 6, 7, 8 for each string of letters.. Do one string at a time.
10) wait an hour for the glue to cure then gently remove the packing tape.
11) check each letter to find any spots along the edges that need a touch more glue, if you find any, now is the time to touch up--but keep your fingers out of the glue, otherwise you could get them glued together....not like I did this!

I also want to go faster but I want mine velcroed on so I can change them from tire to tire. Looks like Ill be going through plenty of them.

Dan, that turned out nice..I would of never thought of using nail polish remover for a cleaner on tires I really hope that It got all the grease and oil off the tires as thats one of the main factors for a successful adhearance.our suggestion was bleche white or even grease lighting as a cleaner prior to applying, when the letters start getting dingy looking use goo gone or goof off they both work great they bring that bright white back.
Ty,
Jim

We chase each other....

Dan, what happens when you rotate your tires? Do you go backwards?

Who is chasing who? Dan chasing Dee, or Dee chasing Dan?

It does looks really nice.
We chase each other...Still. After 32 years. It is like we are still honeymooners! (Really).
it is fun to do silly stuff like this together. It is especially fun when I get a hug and kiss from Dee for doing it!

I just hope everyone has at least 1/2 as much happiness as we have had. Now that we share Spyder, which Dee named "Red Baron", we are off on new adventures together.

:agree: but that is what is so nice about adding bling/mods. What works for one person, does not for another.

I understand that, didnt mean for people to go the offensive, I just don't get why someone would think of it? Lol

Looks good Dan... and congratulations on the 32 years. Glad to hear you still have fun together.

Dan, If you have a son whose nickname is "Don" and a daughter named "Meredith" I think you'd have the TRIFECTA!:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: Congrats on the 32 yrs. (and many more) Tires look good!
