• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Spyder Theme

I was going to keep this under wraps until it's done because it's such a huge overhaul but what the hell- we're family here, right? :)

My Spyder goes under the knife- er... brush in a month. Total repaint. She's going from red to camo to resemble a P-40 Warhawk complete with new teeth, faux rivets, Air force logo, Flying tiger logo, and American flag on the rear fender.

Other Accents

Gun barrels from the air vents - I'm going to do it with PVC or metal plumping pipe. Might play around with making them functional in some fashion. :doorag:

****pit - I found some original gauges from a P-40 on eBay which I'll mount around the console. I'll throw in some rocker and flip switches too for the LED lighting.

LED Lighting - Red, white, and blue. I've got the red. I'll get the blue and white from MM. Police will love the red and blue. :D

Tailgunner Exhaust - Very cool and very fitting.

I'm open to any other ideas you might have to add to the War Machine theme.

How bout some small flags. Like when a pilot shoots down an enemy except small flags of each state you have visited or something like that. Anyway it will look cool with the camo paint, teeth and tailpipe.

looking forward to see the result. have seen many custom :spyder:on youtube, and they all were very cool. Even the wooden spyder.

AWESOME!! I can't wait to see. I have been getting SOOO MANY compliments on my Silver/Red/Black tri-tone paint on my Spyder, so thanks for helping me get an awesome new look for a nice price. :2thumbs:

We'll have to hook up when I am in Indianapolis next September visiting my parents.

Sounds good, Spydergirl. You know how to get a hold of me.

Wow, Flyingtiger- I'm bummed you beat me to it! I love he windsheild and the bullet holes. I'm going camo on mine and adding a few other things as well to pull it all together. The tailgunner exhaust is in. The flame kit is here. Just need my parts back from the painter now.

What inspired you to choose a Warhawk theme? Though yours looks a lot like a Warthog with the silver. Was that intentional?

:2thumbs:

Very well done. Congrats on one of the better looking Spyders I've seen. Go Broncos!
