• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I stopped in my dealer today to bug him about when my Spyder would be here. He smirked and said "it showed up an hour ago!" BUT there are 2 other Spyders before mine that need assembled so I won't get mine until next Tues or Wed. :( Oh well..at least it here!

That's good news. Very close to your dealer's estimated arrival. Be sure to give us a ride report after you get a few miles on it. :congrats:

:congrats: Canuk!

I hope the wait isn't too painful! :)

As others have pointed out, start planning out which mods you want on your Spyder first. And if your a Canuck like me, start by looking to the US for the BRP stuff. It's way cheaper. I got my Hindle from a BRP dealer in Connecticut and paid $600 US, versus $729 CDN I think it was. I could have gotten it cheaper if I waited, but I wanted it right away.

Now that would just kill me ........

Congrats ! ! welcome Can't wait for mine to get here. Been talking with the Wife-L-Unit about upgrades and such. Can't wait to spend more money....wait... what? hahahah

Delayed Spyder Pick up

I know the frustration of waiting for your Spyder to be assembled. Mine came in and was assembled. I was called to come pick it up. Upon arrival and after paying the balance due, I was told that the keys (Both sets) had been misplaced somewhere between the service area and the showroom. They were never found and the dealer called BRP who overnighted a new set and the dealer programmed them on his computer. The whole thing took about three days. Talk about a long 72 hours!

Wow, I remember that story when it first happened. It seems so long ago. I wonder if they ever found those keys.

Picked up my Spyder today although my husband rode it home since I need to learn how to ride it. Unfortunately, I will have to wait a week to ride since I am flying home Sat. I am a real Canuk living in PA and I am going home to visit my family. I ordered all my accessories when I ordered the bike so that will give my husband something to do while I'm gone...besides "break it in" for me.

What's the deal with the Spyder keys? Why don't they have a loop like a normal key and not that cover?

my dealer explained that to me....the keys have a sheath because they are chipped and cannot have a hole through the top because of the chip....this is a security feature as the spyder will not start without the chipped key....even if a duplicate is made the chip has to be programmed to match it by a dealer

Actually, the Cdn. retail price is $750 for the Hindle.:yikes: Once I take delivery of my Spyder, like you, I will be looking Stateside for this Canadian-made product! :)
