• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. My son Nathan is leaving for Afghanistan tomorrow

Our prayers and thoughts go out to Nathan and others, stationed far from home and in harm's way for safe service and safe return home.

God Speed Nathan!!! We hope that you and all the others return home safely.. Our thought and prayers will be with you and your family.

Will definitely keep Nathan in my prayers as well as all of our other brave men and women (and their families) out there that are sacrificing so much to serve our country. Safe return Nathan!!!

P.S. As I write this I am watching the new show (just previewed tonight) that is on T.V. on the TLC channel entitled "Homecoming." It is about men and women in the service that come home and give their families an unexpected surprise reunion. Wow, what a feeling!

Lamont,

Our brave men and women in uniform are the true heros of this generation, thoughts and prayers for them are a nightly bended knee in my HH. I have had my nephew, who I raised, go on 2 tours, I understand.

If you post his mail drop, I am willing to bet he would have so many cards, letters and goodie boxes sent to him, his buddies would think he was a rock star.

Nathan

What branch of the service is Nathan in? Doesn't really matter so I will just say Semper Fi from an old jarhead. Our prayers are with you and all of our service men and women.

Good Luck, Be Safe

My son got there yesterday and posted it on his Facebook page. I showed him this thread and told him we were praying for his safe return. Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers.

Afghanistan

I was a combat medic in the Army and my prayers go with your son Nathan. Tell him to remember his training and that he is in the best military the world has ever seen. The men and women will watch each others backs and hopefully they will all come home safely and soon.

Just got this from my son if you still would like to send something. I'm sure he would share it with the crew. Thanks

Lamont, I'm just now seeing this thread. I'll echo the same sentiments that others have already. Please let your son know that there are many of us who thank him (and his mom and dad) for serving our country. May God bless him and keep him safe.
