• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My solution for larger top case with passenger seat

Wider. If the rack is wider than the fender, you gain more clearance. There should be a way to see where the shock bottoms out. Then build the rack above that. Just a thought. Great job. Joe

If you are using the stock spring 2 up that sag is waaaaay too much. Probably why Can An sells the 2 up spring.

The side edge that points down can be trimmed. You don't need all that "height" on it in order to make it strong.

Try and do a round cut, like an arch (similar with bridges support), following the contour of the wheel and reduce the side by half - don't go lower. That should be more than OK.
Also do some testing on how much weight it can actually take (if the bars are thick enough, I'm sure it can hold quite a bit).

Another idea will be try and find something similar but with a 135 degree angle, not 90 (but that might bend under the weight).
This way the edges will flare out, allowing to go around the wheel, hopefully.
