There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Got away just before 5AM in wonderful clear weather (it's been monsooning here for weeks...). A little fresh at +48F (I added the plus because we do see -48 here, but I'm not usually on the Spyder).

Got across the border north of Scobey MT by 10AM with a nice tail wind and zero traffic all the way. Grabbed a quick taco for lunch in Circle MT (apparently a big cruiser/biker locale from the local traffic) and was in Miles City by 3. Lots of riders out, but only saw 1 other Spyder all day.

Only just under 500 miles, but no point pushing too hard on day 1, so am holed up in a motel in walking distance to a Chinese restaurant. Life is good!

Going to end up around Laramie or Rawlins tomorrow (Sunday) and maybe swing through Woody Hole CO to visit Hunter S Thompson's stomping grounds before seeing Durango on Monday night.

Rod.

Had another kind of wind today -- fierce crosswinds gusting to 51mph according to the 'net. But no rain, so not a bad day. Made it to Rawlins WY by 3:30 so good a place as any to stop.

Lots of cruisers out today, but not one Spyder. But I get to Durango tomorrow so there might be some to see and meet there.

Safe travels everyone!

Day 3, 600 miles and made it to Durango from Rawlins WY via Woody Creek (on the road to Aspen) and then over the Independence Pass before looping back south and west to Durango. Great riding in very good conditions.
Works out to 1480 miles for the 3 days from home, and the RT never missed a beat!

Day 4. Saw more Spyders on the road today than in the past 4 years! Even the parking lot in the small motel I'm in has more than I've ever seen in total!
Durango has noticed! Am having people roll down their window in traffic to ask about it and the ticket lady at the gate to Mesa Verde held up a long line of vehicles to ask about Spyders. Let the good times roll!

Did 247 miles and 3 states, and saw Mesa Verde, Four Corners, and Shiprock. Plenty warm in the desert -- I still have the Spyder readout in Celsius, and it hit 38 degrees at Four Corners -- that's 100F, so maybe the thermoset on the Spyder is a bit high, but otherwise it's still running great. A little surprised by how the rear tire breaks away when it this hot, though.

Hey Rod, have a safe trip. Mine is going to start this sunday, same scenario constant rains, am heading south to the Oregon coast. Safe travels.

Hey Rod I think I saw you today up on Mesa Verde, see you tomorrow glad to see you had a good ride down

Wow I don't think I saw you and your Spyder would stand out in any crowd! See you tomorrow for sure.

Hey that sounds like a great ride you're heading for -- one that's on my list. Hope the weather is better than we're getting on the prairies. Safe travels!

Some great riding today on the Telluride loop via Dolores and then south on the Million Dollar Highway. Wow! I've been through the Rockies in Alberta and through the mountains to Vancouver, but this is a much much nicer ride! Good roads and fabulous scenery.

Today was my last day before heading home. Met some really nice people, BRP held a great event, and saw some fabulous scenery! And I think I've finally figured out how to add photos so here's just a few

The RT never missed a beat, and never fails to attract attention, with people asking about it everywhere along the way.
