• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Ryde Today...What Abouy Yours?

I took a short 50 mile hop today, through the canyon, up to the super slab, back through the foothills and then home. In the canyon I was going about 50 and suddenly, out of nowhere, came a swarm of bees. I ducked my head and bravely plowed right through them, slaughtering many of their tribe. Thankful to ATGAT, none of their missle stingers found my flesh.

When I parked my Spyder in my garage, I promptly retrieved my spray can of Plexus and counted the splats as I erased the bee carcasses from my Spyder. I murdered 57 bees. ...and I am a better man for doing so.

How was your Ryde today?

Glad you came out of the bee swarm ok. That happened to me in 1976 or so. I learned a lesson about riding down the road with my jacket open. A bunch of bees when down my t-shirt and I had to pull over quickly and beat them to death. Yep! I got stung a few times. :roflblack:

they're predicting two more feet of snow on the hill :yikes:(tug hill,ny)for us tomorrow into thursday. guess the sleds will be happy! maybe another month of snowmobiling is insight.nojoke
Chuck,
If you want to stop by here; I've got over a foot and a half of the "White Plague" stockpiled all over my yard...
Take it with you... PLEASE! :D

I did the Washington lake loop today, about 35 miles round trip on my Cervelo R5 road bike:shocked::D

My Ride

We took the 260 mile round trip to the dealer to get the hitch installed this weekend , Rained the whole time , but we also wanted to try out the new all weather gear we bought , With her heated liner and gloves the Boss said it was just like riding in the summer as she felt like she was in a warm bubble ! If she's happy I'm Happy. Just getting prepared for our Coast to Coast Hwy. 20 trip.

We were in the land of Fruit & Nuts over the weekend and we enjoyed some really nice riding. We rode from the Bay Area down to Ventura County and then back home.

I got a nice 48 mile ride in this morning, I'll get another one in on the way home..... from work..... in my car.:banghead:

is that "fruit and nuts" open for interpretation?:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Literally fruit and nuts as far as the eye can see. Lots of berry picking going on right now. Usually when I think of CA I think of
millions of people and ridiculous traffic but this weekend reminded me that CA is also a huge agricultural state. It is absolutely beautiful.

It looks like you are chalking up the miles. How many so far?

Well, today (Tuesday) was a better day

Temperatures in the high 70s, no sign of ice for the first time in 9 days, and I got to ride 170+ miles. It was a good day indeed.

Rode to work yesterday and today, temps about 35 F. Only put on 75 miles between both days.
Had to wash after yesterday though, ended up riding in a bunch of wet streets.
It'll be time to throw a good coat of wax on it this weekend.

Our nice big rYde was Tuesday, 175 miles round-trip for lunch in Rio Grande City, with 2 other Spyders and about 5-6 Harleys. The usually-strong Texas wind was in hibernation (under 10mph all day), the sky was clear and the temperature hit 84f. GLORIOUS day!

Today (Wednesday) I only did 57 myles, in wind 25-30mph. But anything is goooood after days & days of sitting home watching the rain.
