• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. My ride today on my 2014 RTL

Today the wife and I took off for a day long ride. Filled up the Spyder, reset the trip meter and we were off. We live about an hour south of Pittsburgh, Pa. We headed south towards Morgantown, WV. and eventually made it to Canaan Valley State Park, Blackwater Falls. The weather was great and the total ride was 231 miles. As we pulled in the driveway the fuel light came on. I'm not sure exactly of my fuel mileage today until I fill it up and do the math. But I'm sure happy with my new ride. Today we turned just over 6,000 miles on our ride. Oh and by the way we were pulling our RT 622 trailer with us as well.:yes:

I'm guessing over 40 also. I love the extra miles on the 1330. On my 2010 RT I usually filled up at about 150 now it's no problem hitting 200.

Great..!!

glad you got out and had a great ryde. Did a short 200 mile ryde but did get hot. No idea about mileage but not as good I'm sure...congrats..!! :2thumbs:

Eco Mode

Well I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes, but I keep the Spyder in Eco mode all the time. The power and performance seem satisfactory to me. This is my first Spyder so I don't know how the other years performed compared to the 1330's

Hit over 200+ miles on my first tank of gas and some of the rides were two up...LOVE THE GAS MILEAGE!! Great power, smooth ride, no heat...I am LOVING my new RTL:yes:

Sounds like a sweet ride and a great way to spend a day

Glad you had a great ryde.

We also had one of those glorious ryde days here yesterday. Sunny, bright blue skies, temperature hovering around 59/60 degrees. For Alaska in late August/Labor Day Weekend--it does not get much better. We took a 200 mile round trip down to the Kenai Peninsula, amongst the tall mountains, alpine meadows, and a couple alpine lakes. We stopped at one of our favorite roadhouses (Summit Lake Lodge) and had another great lunch. The leaves and shrubbery are now starting to turn fall, in earnest. Patches of yellow on the deciduous trees, and the alpine meadows are starting to get their "reds" on. Traffic was the least we have seen on our ryde. Most headed out on Thurs/Fri and wont be coming back until Monday. We are going to do another ryde today in the opposite direction.
