There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks for the video! Brought back wonderful memories.
I used to fly Ultralights in Australia. Earned a license to fly the Drifter over there. Went to some fly-ins that had gyroplanes in attendance. Very interesting watching them take off.

My Passion Too...

Gyroplanes are a passion of mine too! Attached is a photo of the Vancraft RotorLightning that I used to own and fly before an inner ear problem left me permanently grounded a few years ago. Vancraft has since been renamed SportCopter and they still operate out of Scapoose, Oregon. Amazing machines these are... you said it well when you posted that they are one of aviation's best kept secrets. If you'd like to talk about them sometime, zap me a note... I still love to talk about the subject.
A bit of aviation wisdom:
- There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but there are very few old, bold pilots.
- Many pilots have serious skills, but a wise pilot does not put himself in a situation necessary to have to use them.
and
- Better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, rather than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
I feel that riding on two, three (or four) wheels is alot the same way.
