• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just got these scuff guards installed. They come with metal brackets that stiffen the plastic splash enough so that they can be used as highway pegs.

Very cool!

Love the idea of increasing the stability and strength of the splash guards. Who carries them? (and great pics)

A couple of members in here, have done this as D.I.Y. projects! I'm glad to see that there are also commercial kits available.

The look is not bad but i would be concerned about the strength of them if using them as HighWay pegs. :dontknow::dontknow:

The installation instructions clearly state that these are not designed to support a riders weight.

That means don't stand on them..they will support the weight of your legs. Steel reinforcement is added to the plastic splash guard. In practice they feel strong enough.
Time will tell.

The weak link with them is the attachment points where they mount to the bike, too much weight and the fastener holes break and rip out. safe riding.
