• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My new Stebel Nautilus Air Horn

It was 50 degrees and sunny today, here in Indianapolis. I went for a 75 mile ride and ended up buying a Stebel Air Horn at Cycle Outfitters. Came home and on Amizon.com I ordered a "Universal Plug-n-Play Wiring Harness for Motorcycle Air Horns" ($25.90 delivered) to make the install easy peasy. Once it gets here that'll be my next project.

That is very unfortunate, but I'd have to say that Hell is much worse unfortunately than anything we experience on earth. :(

I am going to want to replace my lousy meep meep horn as well. Do you just unplug the old one and plug in the new one? Or do you have to do something more complicate and run power, relay, etc?

Relocate it too. The original is covered by a lot of tuberware. I put my new bad boy air horn into one of the air ducts. When I blew it the first time, it really scared me. I had to go change my diapers.

OK experts "lay it on me"

Happy New Years all (remember Spyderfest 2014 registration opens Jan. 1, 2014). Ok now that the reallllly important stuff is stated. I am going to add a "bad boy/a$$" airhorn to my new ryde. I put an oogah horn on my 2010...cute, fun but I can yell louder than it's sound.
Just read here that some have the Stebel Nautilus Air Horn and the Rolo BadBoy Air Horn...soooooo give me your .02 worth and WHY??? Thanks... I'm can't ryde (dang those winter roads!!) so working on my mods!!!

I compared the various ones for: 1. Price, 2. Multiple sound frequencies, 3. Decibel readings at 2 meters.

It took me a week to decide. But remember I am OCD on this stuff.

OCD works for me...

That's why I come to the "experts"...OCD gets the most information...thanks...

So did your OCD take you to the Rolo BadBoy Air Horn.....where did you find the best price on your horn (whatever one you have!!). Thanks

Thanks Dan...what do I need for connecting...wiring harness?? what?? I will have it dealer installed....but want to take him everything he needs. Need it to be as simple and "clean" as possible. Thanks so much.
It won't fit where the OEM horn is located. You need to plan on wiring it, and placing it further up front. I put it into one of the ducts. To connect it, my mechanic Just used wire, wire connectors, and zip ties. It really is loud.

I mean like majorly not quiet, as my next door teenager said.

I was going to buy the extra harness, but my mechanic said don't

Same approach I have used on 2 RTs and it works just fine!

Still dont understand why anyone wants to install a harness and special mounting unless they want to use the oem horn along with the Stebel...

Works for me

Yep my oogah horn is tucked in one of those front ducts. That horn will stay with the '10..this one is going on the '14....Off to order horn and have on my shelf to take to dealer when I pick up the '14 (Spyderfest 2014!!!)..And I don't want quiet for my horn....so pretty sure this will get the job done...:yikes:

Loud Horns!

"Yep my oogah horn is tucked in one of those front ducts. That horn will stay with the '10..this one is going on the '14...."

I bought the "Screaming Banshee" plug & play kit! OMG! EVERYONE hears and sees it!
