I should also update on this thread. After a few test loads on the trailer, I didn't like how close the spyder got to bottoming out on the pivot point on the transfer between the ramp and the trailer deck. That was on perfectly flat ground... SO, I went back and paid a few extra bucks to switch from the straight end gate to the bi-fold ramp. It adds 9 extra inches to the length of the ramp and also has a slight arch to it. there is ZERO chance of it bottoming out now. The slightly longer ramp makes the rear tire start to climb the ramp before you crest the center point of the bike and the arch helps too. The only downfall is that it's kinda awkward to wrestle in place. I think it was $180 dollar upgrade.
The trailer looks nice and will function just fine, I'm sure. I was looking at a Baxley's trike trailer for nearly twice the cost. Don't know that its worth it just so it will drop to the ground for easy, no-drag loading. http://www.baxleycompanies.com/TrikeTrailer.html
