• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I just purchased a new spyder hauler  It's a Aluma 7710 with a 24" rock guard. These things are built like a brick s:cus:thouse. :ohyea: Gotta find a place to haul my spyder now

There's this thing going on in Maggie Valley in a couple of weeks... and a pretty cool barbecue right around the corner on the 15th!

Very nice looking trailer. I've been flopping back and forth between an Aluma like yours or an enclosed. The enclosed would give more protection during transit, but the Aluma does double duty as a utility. Congrats!

Do you have to jack the front of the trailer up to get enough clearance (for the nose) to load the Spyder?

I have the same ALUMA trailer, but 68" wide instead of 77", with the same ramp and my RT loads with no problems, and thats with Pops BumpSkid too.

the nose will hit on the initial approach if u go straight at it. the 77" width is enough that you can hit it at an angle and clear it. it comes within an inch of bottoming out at the pivot point between the ramp and deck of the trailer

Rocks..!!

Haul rocks...ryde the spyder...:roflblack::roflblack:..It is a very nice trailer..enjoy..!!

How about hauling it over here to Sioux City June 13-15

I'm not an iron ass on the spyder. I can't handle heat or long distances so sometimes it's best to put it on the trailer. We hauled out to the Black Hills last year and I loved riding up into some elevation and cooler air but headed out across the Badlands was too damn hot for me. Hence the name ARCTIC... :roflblack::roflblack:

On my RT I put the rear suspension all the way up when I load on the trailer for more ground clearance.

I should also update on this thread. After a few test loads on the trailer, I didn't like how close the spyder got to bottoming out on the pivot point on the transfer between the ramp and the trailer deck. That was on perfectly flat ground... SO, I went back and paid a few extra bucks to switch from the straight end gate to the bi-fold ramp. It adds 9 extra inches to the length of the ramp and also has a slight arch to it. there is ZERO chance of it bottoming out now. The slightly longer ramp makes the rear tire start to climb the ramp before you crest the center point of the bike and the arch helps too. The only downfall is that it's kinda awkward to wrestle in place. I think it was $180 dollar upgrade.
