• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

WOW ! and we thought we paid a lot for tags here; even at that you're over $600 US if I remember the rate difference. I agree that I would have spent the money to change that plate too though.
I've got a friend in NZ named Booker; not sure of his exact locale, but he had a lot of your flooding in his area a while back. He farms cattle and rides moto bikes

I just paid $18.00 registration fee for the 2007 Vulcan 900 I just purchased. But then we have to pay property taxes every year on our vehicles. :cus:

Normal rego fees for Spyder is same as a Car in NZ $287.00. * legs Personalised Plate is a whole new story.
I got my personalised plate from NZ equivalent of Ebay for $300.00. And being a Joey from Friends fan, when I saw it I had to have it. it is HW U DN, How u doin':2thumbs:

Hay thanks for letting evey one know that what I was trying to say but did not
Nice blue spyder mine is silver

Wow I don't know which is crazier paying $987.00 for license plate or buying a plate on Ebay!

NZ equivalent of Ebay is trademe.co.nz, they have a Personalised Plate Section under Car Accessories, plates go from $1 no reserve to some people asking over $10,00.00 for a plate. Once you buy a personalised plate you can keep it and put it on you car that you have or any in the future. I am taking mine off my car, as I am selling it, and putting it on my Spyder, as it is registered as a Car in NZ, and only a car licence required to ryde it.

Why would you (or anyone) spend money to change the plate? I don't get it?

A normal plate is what is supplied when you first register is 3 letters 3 digits and stays with the vehicle for the life of the vehicle and is owned by NZ Land transport Assoc., unless you want to personalise it as 8 legs and myself have done this plate can be transferred from one vehicle to another and you own it and can sell it for whatever price you can get for it. The website in NZ is www.plates.co.nz, you can go there and check if the plate you want is available or create your own plate.
Just a personal thing really.

Here in PA...

$36.00 annual registration plus if you want a "Vanity Plate" it costs a one-time charge of $20.00. My plate "1 SPDR" should be here in 3 or 4 weeks.
