• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My New Black 2014 Spyder RT-S SE6 & Dealer Experience (You have to see this!)

I liked your input on the bike and the dealer. I have sent and received e-mails from Troy on a new RTS SE6 in Yellow. I am now thinking of getting this bike from him as the price is good and his knowledge is superb. Thanks for the write-up and if you have any more info please let me know.

You have a very lucky Spyder because it has a big screen TV to watch. Mine gets to look at the back side of the garage door. :(

Congrats on your new ride!

I'm happy to hear I was able to help out Chris. Troy is very sharp and professional, so I'm confident he'll take care of you and simplify the process as much as anyone could ever do. I've purchased new motorcycles several times out of state (Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia and New York to name a few); each time buying a one way airline ticket and driving the bike back home. I always had a lot of fun doing it. If you haven't had the opportunity to experience it yet, do yourself a favor and just do it. Pack a small carry-on with your helmet and a few essentials, and wear your motorcycle gear. Travel light, and don't take much more than a smart phone with a GPS and camera built in. I guarantee you'll enjoy the trip.

You have good taste, That is the twin to my Spyder. Looks Great.

Now it needs a Bump Skid to protect the front end.

Thanks Joe! Yes, I contacted Harvey a couple of weeks ago to order one then, but he said that he's still waiting on his production run. It looks like for now, you're the only lucky one (or maybe one other) to have one on a '14 ;)

I was thinking of the wife (as it will be hers) and I going over in the jeep with my trailer and picking it up, that way she gets all the info from them as well.

:gaah:Hey I just talk with Troy on the phone and man ooooooooooman you sure were right on about him ,we are talking of some kind of trade in on my 2012 limited and sure we shall make a deal .

Keep in mind I live in THE woodlands TX . which by the way is all most tree hundred miles from him ,but if we can deal that is not a bad over night stay and ride .

Troy really sounds like a good guy we shall see soon ,shall keep you posted

Congrats

It looks great and thanks for the photos. It makes it that much harder waiting for mine to arrive.

Amen!

Texas, we concur wholeheartedly with your compliments regarding Yamaha FunCenter (YFC)! Our Spyder (a red 2012 RT-S se5) was purchased elsewhere, and serviced at a couple of other dealerships, all before YFC became a Can Am dealer.
We recently had our Spyder in for service at YFC, to deal with a pesky electrical problem. Our contacts with everyone, especially with General Manager Troy Chakales and Can Am Service Manager Rocky Fulker, were friendly and helpful. I was able to see and get better acquainted with my Spyder during the process, with the cowlings all removed - it's amazing what all is concealed behind those beautiful covers! We remain in awe of the folks there, and their "can do" attitude about customer relations. I can truly say I've never been treated better at any dealership (bike, marine, or automotive) anywhere. We will be back for service as needed - no question of going anywhere else! - and for our next Spyder when that time comes. I'm very impressed by the new 2014 with the 130 hp and 6-speed transmission - may get our next Spyder sooner rather than later!

Congrats

thanks for the great info.:yes: Ever ridden with folks off Meetup.com? All great folks the South Austin Riders Groups, and AMRG. Used to be a SAAME but they folded. Hope to see you in 'the hood' soon.
