• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My new 2010 RS Spyder

Thank you again for all the kind comments : )

Yesterday i recived my new custom parts, i can upload some pictures if someone is intrested?

Another question though, the "strap" that makes the Spyder go forward, is to tight to the gearwheel, and it makes a really anoying sond,

I will fix this problem next week, BUT is it risky to drive til then?

Kindly Regards
R

Looking good!

When you say your drive belt is making a sound... If this is the correct part (MY assumption) then yes.... This is a problem and your bike should not be driven. It needs the proper tension or you "Can" do some expensive damage to your bike... :yikes:

Yeah i mean the " Rubber Chain " lol :joke:
Then i let it stay in the garage until i drive it to the dealer.

I will upload some more photos in the main post.

The Hindle sounds good.

The other noise when rolling the Spyder should not be there at all. I am not sure if it is the belt, or perhaps the bearing, but you really need the dealer to look at that and correct whatever is causing it.

Best of luck, and please let us know what they find as the cause of the noise.

Oh boy!!! Please do not drive that bike... At least not till you look for possibles #2 & #3 below... I just listened to your video recording of it... I lean towards one of three thoughts....

  1. The belt is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to tight.
  2. The "Shield" is rubbing the belt.
  3. The wet tire is making the noise as it makes contact with the cement...
***Edit*** One other thought... Are you sure it is all the way in neutral? Kind of reminds me of a preasure plate not fully disengaging, but allowing movement at the same time..

Thank you all for your ideas and thoughts.
Me and my friend decided to take a closer look at it. 2 hours past midnight.... :P

The rubber or "the rubberchainwheel" was simply to dry, i didnt have any smoothing creme avaible so i used olive oil (((TEMPORARLY))) :2thumbs:

And the sound is gone! I LOVE VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

It has a clutch, the Spyder is just auto-clutching for you :D

By the way, that Hindle sounds de-li-ci-ous!
