• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Mods

Just did a bunch of stuff and I'm not done yet.
Added an FZ-1 switched fuze block cause I got sick of turning all my lights on automatically.
Added lights in BOTH the upper and lower wind deflectors. Looks real nice.
Added some prototype turn signals on the rear Reggy sent me.
But perhaps my absolute favorite additions so far is some project nite style lights hidden inside the lid of my saddlebags. Does an awesome job of balancing out the front and back of the bike, which always felt front heavy and looks terrific.
Still have to add my adaptive running lights, which will also be wired into my switched fuze block so they will also turn on automatically.

Wow, you are really into creative lighting and the Spyder is fertile ground!
Impressive looking so far. I'm still working on mine but hope to have some early results soon.

For me, it's rather tricky. I don't generally like visible LEDs. I far prefer the indirect lighting approach, hence my initial reluctance to install the tricfenders, also the need to work creatively by hiding he strips and bouncing the lights around. Also, it can go too far. I think I have just struck the right balance before hitting too many lights. I really don't think any future mods will focus on lighting. The new lights on my saddlebags really help balance out the bike and complete it.

Will probably do a few more mods though, like the skid plate or a backrest.

DIDE! Looks great and I am going to flat steal the light ring around the side bags. I need to remove my right bag and that will be a great time to add the lights..

Really nice work..

No! No stealing my ideas is allowed! :D
Thou I guess if I wanted my bike to remain completely unique, I shouldn't have shared it with everyone eh? :D
Maybe I can convince Reggy not to make anyone any saddle bag rings... :)

They'll be purple. Hope that counts as different.

Well. I guess that since I did steal Phil's idea to light the upper wind deflector (and took it a step further and illuminated both the upper and lower ones) that I shall allow Phil to steal my idea.

Seriously though. It's cool that others want to use my ideas. I was just hoping to remain unique longer. The saddlebag lights use the same light strips as used on the project nite, and are mounted on the inside of the lid itself. I ordered a 38" strip, but ended up cutting 1" off the end.

Just installed my adoptive running lights. I can't believe how bright these things are. These things could replace my headlights easily, even with the dimmer at only half power.

My bike was a head turner before, but now with all these new lights, seems everyone is looking at me lately.

I hope you love the adoptive running lights as much as your natural ones:roflblack:

That is the halo kit from TricLed. Lights are on the skid plate and down the length of the main body frame. A few pics further on the last half of that kit is installed that is illuminating the rear wheel.

I thought that might be the case. I'm concerned about the Tech damaging them, even though you tell them they are there.. Chances you take when you get what you want:thumbup:...Nice job,,,looks great

I absolutely get being different. I think that is part of what drives the things I do, as WELL as 'needed mods' like the Bluetooth and rearview camera and DRLs. Looking forward to seeing your DRLs my friend :)

DRLs? If you mean adaptive running lights, I put them on last night. Redoing them tonight with threadlock and even tightening. Still get a tad bit of movement though. Not much but more than I'd like.

Really want to change out the bulbs on my main driving lights to match the color of the rest of the lights.

DRL was much easier to type on my iPhone than adaptive running lights :)
