• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. My (Hopefully) Final Questions About BajaRon Swaybar

Whether you've done the installation on your own, or had it done by a dealer/vendor - what did you do (if anything) with the original sway bar? Did you hold onto it for any reason?

Has anyone ever been dissatisfied with switching to the BajaRon, and subsequently went back to the OEM sway bar? If so, what was the reason?

Thanks!

You can do the bar swap at home but one word of warning ... you have to lift the front end "so high" to actually be able to thread the old bar out and route the new one in.

OK that's more than one word ... :roflblack:

How high is "so high" ... high enough for me to seriously consider my sanity.

You don't say what Spyder you have. The answers here may or may not apply depending on which model and year Spyder you're doing the install on.

Ron, I have a '13 RT Limited, would my original bar benefit any other specific models and be worth anything?

Try this....

Put it on the shelf and wait till your convinced that you are not going to need it then use it for something else. Could list a bunch but currently mine holds ll the different types of tapes I use and bolted to the bench. Does make a great tape dispencer...

My dealer installed my BajaRon sway bar and gave me the "OEM" bar back. When my bike sells I will give all the original OEM parts to the new owner. I highly recommend having a dealer install the bar because its not a bolt on item and its not pricey to have them do it. As far as my impressions of the BajaRon sway bar I can say it was 100% worth it. Forget the leaning argument many people talk about. You don't really "feel" the lean even though its there. You do feel the unnecessary "FORCE" necessary to turn the handlebars at higher speeds in curvy roads. After installation I no longer avoid curvy roads. My thoughts.

It would benefit an F3 owner with a standard bar. As to value, mine was a gift from a forum member. Find someone with an F3 and they can get you a case of beer? (assuming you drink beer!!)

F3-T & I have that after market bar sitting in the garage for installation this week, hopefully Monday if not then Tuesday. Instructions say to lift the Spyder so it's 22 inches off the ground. I have a bike/ATV lift which will get that height. Will let you know how it went should I survive.

:D Good luck!
