what a awesome event that BRP put on for us ... showing their appreciation and dedication to their customers , absolutely outstanding people with a passion for what they do and it shows . I left thursday morning 6 am and made it to Lake George at 8 30 pm . one the most scenic trips i've ever taken ... i rode in a T-shirt on the way up the weather was excellent ... I got to the motel and met up with Nexus from VA. and roomed with him , just by chance he was the other SpyderRyder with a dual set-up , couldn't have planned it better  what a great guy ! the homecoming ride upto Valcourt was cold to me (being a southern boy) and I think everyone enjoyed it as much as i did even with the rain . seeing so many Spyders together and in convoy was awesome and seeing so many already their in the parking lot when we arrived was amazing ! seeing all the custom modifications ;D what a great thing to be a part of !!! meeting the P/E owners , making new friends , talking with the all the BRP people who made me feel right at home , and a genuine interset in what my thoughts were on the Spyder , what i would want for myself and what i forsee others looking for ! the lunch and awards were excellent ... Marc pulled off a good 1 when he said stand up and stretch your legs ... no one knew we were in competition ... :doorag: untill he announced mileage and we all got a good laugh ;D and I was happy to see the original SpyderLover (Lamonster) take the honors and the prize !!! seeing the BRP guys walking around chatting with everyone openly was really "first class" ! seeing the proto-types , talking about its birth to production line ... seeing the line ... what a great experience all the way around , the ride , scenery , the people ... every aspect of it was awesome ... the ride home was great , we left at 7:30 from Chateau Bromont and headed south , we hit rain in NY but rode out of it and stopped for dinner , just south of Scranton,Penn. they decided to stay the night and i saddled up for the ride home ... what a ride ... I took a chance in Richmond , VA , knowing there were gas stations at almost every exit ... I ran the last bar out and rode another 12 - 15 miles ... so to put minds at rest ... there is a nice supply of reserve once the last bar disappears ... so don't panic ;D ... I covered 1000+ miles in 24 hours ... stopping for lunch at Lake George and dinner with my fellow SpyderLovers , once i was on my own ... just fuel and short breaks at rest stops ... I pulled in my driveway at 730 am...I spent 24 hours on the Spyder from Chateau Bromont , CA to central North Carolina ,USA !!! I'm proud to have been there and witnessed history in the making ...the "First Homecoming" ... was an outstanding event that I hope will continue for many years to come ... I covered 2136 miles in 3 days !!! she purred like a kitten , not 1 problem ... the perfect end to the perfect RYDE !!! ;D
