• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what a awesome event that BRP put on for us ... showing their appreciation and dedication to their customers , absolutely outstanding people with a passion for what they do and it shows . I left thursday morning 6 am and made it to Lake George at 8 30 pm . one the most scenic trips i've ever taken ... i rode in a T-shirt on the way up the weather was excellent ... I got to the motel and met up with Nexus from VA. and roomed with him , just by chance he was the other SpyderRyder with a dual set-up , couldn't have planned it better  what a great guy ! the homecoming ride upto Valcourt was cold to me (being a southern boy) and I think everyone enjoyed it as much as i did even with the rain . seeing so many Spyders together and in convoy was awesome and seeing so many already their in the parking lot when we arrived was amazing ! seeing all the custom modifications ;D what a great thing to be a part of !!! meeting the P/E owners , making new friends , talking with the all the BRP people who made me feel right at home , and a genuine interset in what my thoughts were on the Spyder , what i would want for myself and what i forsee others looking for ! the lunch and awards were excellent ... Marc pulled off a good 1 when he said stand up and stretch your legs ... no one knew we were in competition ... :doorag: untill he announced mileage and we all got a good laugh ;D and I was happy to see the original SpyderLover (Lamonster) take the honors and the prize !!! seeing the BRP guys walking around chatting with everyone openly was really "first class" ! seeing the proto-types , talking about its birth to production line ... seeing the line ... what a great experience all the way around , the ride , scenery , the people ... every aspect of it was awesome ... the ride home was great , we left at 7:30 from Chateau Bromont and headed south , we hit rain in NY but rode out of it and stopped for dinner , just south of Scranton,Penn. they decided to stay the night and i saddled up for the ride home ... what a ride ... I took a chance in Richmond , VA , knowing there were gas stations at almost every exit ... I ran the last bar out and rode another 12 - 15 miles ... so to put minds at rest ... there is a nice supply of reserve once the last bar disappears ... so don't panic ;D ... I covered 1000+ miles in 24 hours ... stopping for lunch at Lake George and dinner with my fellow SpyderLovers , once i was on my own ... just fuel and short breaks at rest stops ... I pulled in my driveway at 730 am...I spent 24 hours on the Spyder from Chateau Bromont , CA to central North Carolina ,USA !!! I'm proud to have been there and witnessed history in the making ...the "First Homecoming" ... was an outstanding event that I hope will continue for many years to come ... I covered 2136 miles in 3 days !!! she purred like a kitten , not 1 problem ... the perfect end to the perfect RYDE !!! ;D

Glad you had fun and got home safely - I hope I can go next year. Ya know what we should do? Get a forum gathering somewhere - now that would be cool!

Those of us that couldn't go thank you for your wonderful summary. Makes me sad I missed it, but our vintage bike show was today. Obligations, you know. Anyway, I sure I speak for all when I say I am glad you had a safe and wonderful journey.

Glad you're home safe, and WOW what a ride

Your summary was great to read. One additional question.... Was anything said about SE5 ?

Hey Bro I just got your voice mails but couldn't hardly make them out. I did get the part that you made it home safe. You are a wildman for riding all the way in like that. I think yo got me beat as far a being a hardcore rider. ;D :doorag: :spyder:

Thanks for the great time and the fellowship. You are a great rider and it was a pleasure riding with you. We all have some life long memories now. :doorag:

I'll try and put something together tomorrow, right now I'm beat.

Thanks for your kind words , the pleasure was all mine Lamonster , meeting you and riding with you and others was one of the highlights of the trip !

yes Marc , had a red SE5 model that he rode and i think there were demos at the Americade ...
Yes, I demo'd an SE5 at Americade (there were 3 of them there). Smoooooth as silk shifting. I asked about delivery and all I was told by the demo team was that the dealer had the most up-to-date info on the specific orders. I've been told August, so we'll see what happens

This is not a new phenomenon with Spyders. Calls to BRP are told to refer to dealers for the most accurate info and dealers have varying answers or say they don't know. Bear with it as the outcome (your very own Spyder) is worth the wait. :doorag:
