• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Hindle badge finally fell off my Hindle. Other victims able to get a replacement?

After all this time, it finally happened. And, I had read about other owners that lost their Hindle badge, as well.
Of course, a mark is left where it was glued. and, it appears where one edge was it rubbed a fine line through that black finish. It's not that noticeable, really. And, it actually looks pretty good, plain and all. :)
But, I would like to either get another emblem, or something.

What have others done?

That sucks. With all the quality issues of the Hindle, do you think the increased noise and performance was worth the price?

Besides the rivets on the heat guards being loose, no other issues. I love the Hindle. Plus; I got mine for around $400, if I remember correctly. And, when I was having the latest rear tire installed (rear tire #4 at 31,100 miles), I had my shop re-rivet the heat guards.

But, yeah; it sucks. If I cannot get another Hindle badge, maybe, I'll come up with a nice sticker to cover that area. Or; have the Hindle repainted.

lost my badge after about a month with help of power hose but with no marks left
rivets? - kinda new it from day one that they will go at some stage and when first loosend up i got them all on both shields drilled out and replaced with screws, jobe done - perfect, no issues and like how it sounds and look
admiting that double-sided conversion and two Tailgunners Jets are on the top of my list for 2011 mods :2thumbs:

Mine too (almost...)

After reading these posts yesterday, I went to check my Hindle's badge, and although it was still on the muffler, it was coming loose by all sides.

I just pulled it out before it got lost.

Question: What king of glue can I use to attach it back to its place?

Thinking of using "Crazy Glue" type adhesives, but I am not sure if those will withstand the heat.

Comments / suggestion anyone...?

Thanks and regards, Pilo

Badges??

We don't need no stinking badges! :roflblack:

If I had to do it all over again (and I did have to) --- I'd go with an HMF pipe.

Great product and reasonable price.

Interesting. ...

I never lost the badge...but the sheilds rattled loose sot I tapped them and put in bolts. The body rivets rattled out so I tapped them out and replaced them with allen heads but they soon wallered out so went back to rivets. Finally went to the Yoshimura R77 and solved all my problems. Did like the hindle if it would just stay together..:banghead::banghead:
