• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Heat Vent

Guard has 3 bolts very easy to take off, cutting hole very simple,4 pop rivets
I painted the vent with high temp paint
I would say less than 30 mins. total

Do you have to remove any panals? I removed the 2 screwed directly to the frame and the one bolt under the air dam..that one seems to be attached to several other things, couldn't get the guard off Guess I'll have to wait until my next service and ask the to leave it off

No panels have to be removed, the 3 bolts ,2 in frame, one in air dam
The one in the air dam has a nut and a e-clip. you have to remove the e-clip to get the nut off, then pull the panel it should pop right out I believe all bolts and nuts are 10mm
Hope this helps

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. I think I'm understanding now. I've never been underneath my spyder so apparently there are two pans or guards?
One underneath where you change the oil and one further to the right? Sorry, but I'm just not mechanically inclined.

I think I will leave it off and go for a ryde... decide what I' \m going to do (leave it off or install a vent)

Lamont, I think you have said you removed two guards. Which is the other is for easy oil change?

BTW: Thank You so much for this forum, it has been a true blessing!

well it was noticably cooler...but still HOT. But I guess there's no getting around that when it's 98 f out
