• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Gas Gauge is Bouncing Again

I had my gauge replaced late last year and thought everything was good. I filled up about 50 miles from home and now the gauge is bouncing again. Have any of you had this happen with the replacement gauge? I know I can disconnect it and use the gauge on the display but I don't want a non working gauge and I don't want to pay for something to put in its place. :gaah:

I am really thankful that it waited until I was almost home to mess up.

Mine seems to bounce around a little more than it did when first replaced, but not enough to cause me any angst.

When the tank is low, if I come to a quick stop, the gauge bounces a bit, but that seems to be the worst of it.

Frankly, I took that to be a "feature" of the gauge, not necessarily a failure.

That's all I've got. I hope it's helpful.

Mine has done it since I had the :spyder2: Asumed it was because the gas moving aroung in the tank

I had mine replaced also and everything was fine. Now I am getting bouncing with the replacement gauge. I don't know if the "new" gauge was the modded gauge or not. I called my dealer and told them and also informed them that there was a bulletin on it. They are checking with BRP and I should have an answer within the next couple of days.

Had my bouncing gauge fixed last summer. The new one is doing it again. The dealer has ordered a sending unit this time--will keep you posted.

I went into the dash and disconnected both the gas and the temperature gauges. Now they both show in the window between the speedometer and the tach.

I made an appointment to get mine replaced again. I know that I can disconnect them but I don't feel like I should have to do that. I don't want non-functioning gauges and I don't want to have to buy something to put in their place.

I had mine replaced under warranty late last year and I assumed it was the new and improved gauge. I don't know if they replaced the sending unit.
