• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This is not the message I want to deliver at Christmas time but here it is;

My scans were very bad again with lymph nodes becoming more involved, liver tumors that are larger and more plentiful, lung tumors growing and an overall weakness. I had to be in the hospital on Tuesday night because I passed out and hit my head on a radiator. While in the hospital Cheryl and I had the opportunity talk to the Hospitalist about my condition now and in the future. He gave us topics of discussion with my oncologist. They have withdrawn all my cardiac medication, my anti-cholesterol med and my coumadin. It is felt that they may be a problem with lowering my blood pressure and causing potential episodes. However, at my oncologist appt yesterday it is clear that chemo is of no value to me and that is discontinued also. I am entering the hospice program and will remain at home. When asked what my timeline is based on the aggressiveness of the cancer I have been given eight weeks.

I am looking for some respite for Cheryl so she can get some time away from the house.

I don't know what else to say as this did not come as a surprise but when it came it has rocked our world.

Do everything you can to have a merry Christmas especially hold those close to you even closer.

Love,

Dough

Dough gave 41 years at Goodwill retiring last month. Now I truly know what " life's not fair " means.

I can only add to the prayers above. I wish I was closer to be able to do something in person, but I am way way down here in Ohio

Our prayers for Doug:pray:. Don't give up hold on and will pray together. Two weeks that was the time given to one of our friend. Kemo drained her energy, complained dizzy and weak, her eyes barely open and voice less than a whisper and bed ridden. We continued to pray with her in the hospital. Her younger sister took vacation from work to be on her side and demanded to see all medicine prior taking. For almost two months our friend brought her juice made from their home. Made from fruits, vegetables mixed. Most of her medicines that made feel dizzy and weak were stop by her sister. With families and friends love and God Blessings it has been nearly a year this Dec. and she is still with us and enjoying life.

Doug, we wish you Merry Christmas and be well soon. Love and Prayers from all of us; Everything is possible with God Love. :pray: Jer

There is a song that I listen to by Jason Crabb called Through the Fire. It speaks volumns. Prayers from NC for healing for Doug and strength for Cheryl.
