There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The dealers are stuck in the middle on this. BRP changed the oil, but not the spec. I would not worry if it was provided by the dealer, but I would save all receipts and documentation. BRP still has not officially changed their specification...and this new oil does not meet the old one. Neither will any 10W-40 like Royal Purple or Amsoil, technically.

Mike at Mosites...you're fine...that is a BRP authorized dealership...he won't send you anything that they don't use on the bike...
You'll hear a lot of cross information here...'try this', 'do that'...bottom line is that it's likely that BRP is doing a few things at once.
Keep it simple like me...I took my bike in for service and I didn't even ask about the oil...who cares...they're only gonna use what BRP tells them they can use...there is no difference if you do the oil on your own or if they do it...if a licensed dealership sends you the oil, that is what they're using on all the Spyders that come through there...that's a safe bet for me.
Mike is a valuable asset to many of us here...he is honest and helps us out...he won't lead you wrong...
