• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Great news..!

your going to have a blast. You will be all smiles and loving it...enjoy and be safe..!! :ohyea::ohyea:

Where are you in Oz Gerard, there are a few of us down here! With any luck there are some near you! ;)

You will enjoy joining the growing number of Spyderlovers regardless, but it's more fun if you can ryde :f_spider: with a few others too!

good luck and enjoy, just remember it is not a regular motorcycle, it will take time to get used to

:agree: Be prepared to feel really strange at first, especially if you are a long time 2 wheel rider. Just keep thinking "Its a car with handlebars" and you'll be fine. The steering will seem awkward and "twitchy" at first, but after you settle down and relax you'll get the hang of it fairly quickly. After you ride it a while, you'll find it's capable of taking corners much faster than you might believe at first. Above all, have fun with it and understand that it's kinda like starting over and it just gets better from that first drive

Hello Peter,
Thanks. I'm from Ipswich (about an hour west of Brisbane). Yes, I've made contact with some spyder riders via the Spydermates forum.

Just finished...My First Test Ride on a Spyder RT (previously only 2 wheels)

Thanks everyone for your advice and riding tips.
My first impressions are.....it was absolutely fantastic.

Whilst I have not yet been up to highway speed (just suburban streets), I feeling really confident that the experience will now only get better and better with time.

Regards,
Gerard

2014 RT TEST RIDE

Had my 2012 at dealer today for some (hopefully) warranty work, and while waiting I asked them if i could try the new 3 cylinders out. Wow! Wonder what they'd give me for my 12 with 28k miles on it? Probably way less than I owe on it, that takes care of that question. but it was a nice ride for lunch!

Take your time, Don't be like me, I didn't even have time to test drive and no 3 wheel training and license. Thanks God I made it and able to get the 3 wheel training and license later without incident.
