• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My first Spyder

Questions

Hello everybody. I am a new Spyder owner. After 30+ years of riding on 2 wheels, my doctor told me no more motorcycles. Yeah, right. So I traded my 07 Harley Heritage Softail on a new 09 Red Spyder RS. Dealer gave me a deal on the leftover 09 I couldn't refuse.

I love it. Spent a week in the shop right off as the dealer said it needed a new "disc". Replaced that and I put 1200 miles on it in three weeks.

I need to install some risers on it and a windshield other than the BRP touring (I am 6'4") and I will be ready to rock and roll.

Any other Spyders in the West Palm Beach, FL, area? I am still riding with my old HOG group, but I kinda feel like a 5th wheel (or is it a 3rd wheel).

Talk at you all later

Jim :2thumbs:

welcome
Great to see ANOTHER Happy Spyder Lover. I've had my '08 since ...well Oct '08 and LOVE it. Even up here with a 6 month Riding season I've done 35K. I bet you can't believe the POWER increase from a Heritage Softail. That was my biggest suprise from 998cc's

Hey Star Crusier, you are right about the speed. I'm going to get a ticket if I don't watch it. I'm used to ambling along on the Harley :yikes:
