• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My First Post

Welcome! From what I read here the 2012 model year has been pretty good ! If you want to get in the game now, maybe consider a used vehicle. In any event,
:welcome:

What a waste..!!

all this time being closed mouthed and you don't even have to own one to be here. :roflblack: Glad you are this close to joining the ranks..welcome to posting and waiting to see which way you jump..!! :ohyea:

Dont know if this is a normal thing in the spyder community but i think it is a great thing.

No, it is definitely not the norm. I am fortunate enough to live 29 miles from a dealer that provides this service in addition to dropping off a loaner Spyder until the repairs are done. There have been more than a few times they have picked mine up from my job, dropped off a loaner (so I wasn't stranded during the lunch hour), and delivered my bike back to the office by COB. There is another Powersports dealer a bit closer, but they offer none of these amenities.

Welcome

Welcome to the forum to both gman9 and moto29. Lots of luck on getting your new ryde. About the '12 being a pretty good year - I have a 2012 RT-S SM5 and have had zero problems. If you can't wait till the '14s come out, you probably would do well getting a used '12. Anyway, shopping around is half the fun. However, the REAL FUN doesn't start until you actually climb on your spyder and take off for the wild blue yander.

:welcome: I have a 2013 STS, and love it....have not had any heat problems with mine, but went ahead with the recall installation....it is a blast...only have 1800 miles on her so far...and will be out ryding her tomorrow...looking forward to seeing you post some pics.

You don't live ANYWHERE near me, the thought has never crossed the minds of this kind of customer service in Virginia. :roflblack:

Good post, we need more of the positive no problem posts than the 25 people posting all the time about their problems.

Questions about Ultimate Seat

I have a 2013 ST Limited and want a seat with a backrest for both the rider and passenger. After reviewing the available seats I have decided to purchase The Ultimate Seat. Here is the question I hope someone can help me with. They offer two models, the 'midrider' and the 'lowrider'. I would appreciate comments from anyone that has information and advice on each model and suggestions on picking the right model.
