• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My first 200 miles

I picked up my first Spyder - 2014 RT on Monday - to many rainy days last week to put more miles on it. It did rain on me ryding home from the dealer though. It seems it needs a rear mudflap to keep spray off my back? Since I am 6'3" I need to replace the stock seat for more room. I had an ultimate on my Honda VTX and it was very comfortable. Will that or the comfort seat give me more legroom?

Thought the RA, after 2011, had the comfort seat with the couple of extra inches by default. I bought one for my 2011 because it had the older stock seat.

Welcome..!! Welcome..!!

to both this strange and wonderous site and the roadster world..picked a good one you did..:2thumbs: most after market seat give you more room. I have a comfort and know it but you know the ultimate and were happy with it so go with them.

Welcome to Spyderlovers! Our Tall Boy Seat measures to sit you 1.5" farther back than the OEM seat. I believe the seating position will take you a little bit of getting used to as you are changing from forward controls on your X to mid controls on the RT. Enjoy your new ride!

Best,
Dave

Welcome! Good to see another spyder in the general area. The comfort seat does give you the 2 additional inches of leg room, but the seat is much firmer. In my case, too firm. I ended up selling my recently purchased comfort seat and going back to a stock seat. I added floor boards and that gave me back some of my much needed leg room BTW, I am 6'-2" and it really helped.

:welcome: to this :firstplace: site, glad that you found us. Enjoy your new ride, Hope the warm weather gets here real soon. Deanna
