• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My First 10000

This time last year I did not own my Spyder ST-L. I had been here on Spyderlovers looking around and reading about everyones experience and opinions, good and bad. I took eveyones opinion into consideration and I almost waited to purchase a 2014. The discounts were just too good and I went with a 2013 instead.

I did have some bad fuel smell issues the first time I rode at 80 degrees and decided quickly that I would try to fix it. Thanks JT as your air filter took care of about 75% of the gas smell and the heat under the tupprware was greatly improved. I was then helped by BRP and recieved my 2014 airflow panels. Again it helped.

So today 50 weeks into owning my Spyder I surpassed the 10000 mile mark. A big deal for me as I only envisioned about 4 or 5 thousand miles a year. I still work about 50 hours a week so most of this was acomplished on weekends.

I have had absolutely no mechanical issues, no orange screen, nothing. I am absolutely pleased with the performance handling and reliability so far. I would like to thank all of my fellow Spyder lovers who have posted and stated there opinions weather it was good or bad as I had taken all of your comments and opinions into consideration before making this purchase.:2thumbs:

I dont know about twice the rider. But this is my first year owning a Spyder and new toys are a lot more fun when you first get them. I will have to see what next year brings.
