Once I installed the driver's backrest on my F3T, the DS of the passenger seat kept disengaging even after placing 3/8” spacer behind the mounting bracket.
Turns out the small retainer tab on DS of the seat pan had snapped off.
Not for nothing, but really, what a poor design.
After a few different ideas, I made this from 1/2” PVC. I started with acrylic, but changed to PVC as it has a little available compression vs the acrylic.
30 degree angle cut to match seat pan, 1/4” wide facing side.
Radius of the seat peg is right on for a standard belt sander, which I machined, then cut to length.
Seat has about 1/4” movement now.
Here are a couple pics of it in place.
