• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My dealer tells me today that the Spyder factory closes for 3 weeks in July...

... So; I guess, maybe September is accurate, afterall!! :2thumbs: roflmao (my dealer just found this out) :)

Man! It better be good when it gets here! :D

Yeah! Apparently, they shut down the factory in July for 3 weeks for maintenance. Of course, I ordered my Spyder on July 3rd!
But; that's okay! Today, I took the motorcycle test (Q&A part), and passed. So, that's out of the way.

Doesn't surprise me. All three U.S. automakers do a two week (or longer) shutdown in July for 'model changeover' even if they aren't making sweeping changes to a vehicle for the next model year. That time can be used to replace old equipment, install an improved process, complete needed preventative maintenance, etc. Things that they can't complete while they are trying to run production.

Also, unless they have changed the way I heard they would run products at that factory, it must be getting close to time for them to retool to build snowmobiles. Maybe the popularity of the Spyder has turned it into a year-round operation.

That makes sense. I was just going off of some really old info where they halted Spyder production in 2007 to make snowmobiles.

I remember reading that too, Brian. Maybe it is just a question of not having enough personnel to run both snowmobile and Spyder lines simultaneously. :dontknow:
