There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. My day at Cowtown or Jimmy, Mike, and Len rock

Had enough of work this week by about Tuesday so I made an appointment and headed to Cowtown Friday morning to get the oil changed and some other work done. I got there and talked to Jimmy told him who I was and why I was there. He went and got Mike and we walked out to my bike. This is where the confusion starts. When I talked to Len I told him what I needed and he told me what it was going to cost. Well I did a poor job of understanding what I was getting and thought it sounded like a heck of a deal. It must have been a heck of a deal because when I told Mike he just looked at me and said I'll be right back. Next thing I see is Jimmy with a piece of paper coming to talk to me.
"Ricky is on the phone and wants to talk to you. When you get on the phone with him I'll give you this paper."
I thought to myself, who the heck is Ricky?
Get on the phone and it is Len, who I already knew was on vacation with his family. He tells me that he is sorry for the confusion and he will make it right since I rode 200 miles down and he just wanted to make sure I was happy. Really dude? I just rode my Spyder 200 miles through the backroads of Missouri, of course I'm happy. Anyway he shot me a good deal on what I wanted, not the jaw dropping deal I thought I was getting, but a deal that was fair for all involved.

So about lunch time Mike comes out and offers to pick me up some lunch or tells me they can order something if I am hungry. I was pretty good then so I said thanks but I was OK. Later I walked around the back and looked in the shop expecting that nobody would be back there working because it was lunch time. Mike is back there working away. He looks up and sees me and says, "If it would be OK with you sir, I'll finish this part up, grab some lunch, then I'll have about an hour and a half more work to do."
I looked around to see who he was calling sir then realized he was talking to me. He ended up not going to lunch, even though I told him that was fine, because he didn't want to keep me waiting any longer.

They got my bike done and I was on my way back home then it hit me, now I know why everybody says Cowntown is the place to go.

Oh and the elka shocks and TB exhaust.... you just gotta love it. The exhaust has just enough attitude that when you drop into 3rd and romp on it to get around somebody on a two lane, "that son, was an attention getter!"

Sounds like they took care of you the best they could. I am waiting for an event down there so I could justify the ride. But now I may go for the exhaust upgrade. Not really happy with dealer service so far in Illlinois.

YEPPER

I was treated like that at COWTOWN, during SPYDERFEST-3, It makes me want to move there from Omaha Ne, Its a better WORLD.

Just 3 more guys finding out what a "find" Cowtown is. I found it out at S.F. II, and proved it again, in May, when I went over 500 miles out of my way just to get my RS checked out. The thing's never ran as good as it has since that day! If there were just more businesses like that in this country, we wouldn't be in the sad shape that we are these days.
God Bless Y'all.

I, too, am from Southern Illinois and long ago gave up going anywhere else for service. Now I schedule my service (when I need it - not done too many miles in the last year as last year I had a motorcycle accident and lost the entire riding season a due to broken bones nd this year I've been doing a lot of 2-wheeled riding so haven't logged a lot of Spyder miles) on a Saturday morning. I ride in early Saturday morning (takes about 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours from M'boro and I go the scenic southern route, not the "shorter" northern route), they get started on my bike while I hang out - if it's going to be several hours, they usually offer me a "loaner", especially if my husband rides over on his two wheeler with me. I usually book the first Saturday of the month because they schedule group rides which usually start at noon - and my bike is ready to go by then. I ride with the fun folks from the area (and whoever else might have dropped in for the day) and then stay over at Super 8 for the evening and enjoy a great Sunday ride home. It makes for a nice little "mini vacation" and honestly, even with the cost of the motel, I come out about the same as when I took my bike elsewhere for service. Cowtown's prices are rock bottom and their service and attention is 5 Star. Can't go wrong with them!

Bumped into Len at SITA ( working hard as usual ) he and John where installing a ton of ELKAs. He greeted me by name with a warm handshake and took the time to talk with me about a question about the new TB exhaust for the RT . Going to run the RT down ( 12hours) get the valve check done, first oil change at a dealership in 50,000 miles ( so I can get the new panel and filters) , get a stock rear tire and bearings, both front tires replaced and have a test ride on a RT with the TB exhaust to see if that's the route I want to go .

To me its worth the drive to get the work done by a trusted caring dealership . I think my dealer is pretty good but to pay big $$$$$ for a valve check/adjustment and have someone not do anything but charge you full pop and say Oh yea its good . Going down in late Oct. before I put the baby away for the winter . Yea away for winter, up here we start to get snow in mid Nov.
