• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My cup holder mounting arrangement.

Tonight I took photos of my RAM mount cup holder. This installation came as a result of not wanting my holder on the moving handle bars as most of the available mounts for Spyders are designed to be done. This is on an RT Limited, but the idea could be adapted to almost any model Spyder.

The 1st picture you can see where I mounted the RAM ball to the dash. It's just above the speaker. I used a large fender washer on the underside to keep it from pulling through the plastic dash. The swinging cup holder is connected to the mounting ball with a short RAM mount. I think it is 2 inches.

The 2nd photo I have my water bottle insulated holder in the swinging cup to show how it looks.

The 3rd photo is to show that even in a full turn the handle bars clear the water bottle/cup holder and does not interfere with steering.

I find this much better than hanging liquids from the moving handle bars. I've had this installed 2 1/2 years now without any issues.

FYI you really should have posted this in the DIY or My Mods section as this will be gone in 1 week on the main forum and lost with all the dribble that goes on in the main forum.

Ram mount water bottle on RT

I did similar mount with 2 ram ball bases and a aluminum Bike water bottle mount kit.
it is aimed towards me, easy access to water without reaching over bars. But I can adjust it most any angle.

Please elaborate further and share install/pics in DIY. I am interested as well as I have put a bike water bottle holder on every bike I've owned.

Water bottle ram mount

Hi, I used 2 diamond shape ram base mounts with 1 inch ball. A small 2 inch double end clamp.
I mounted one to a metal Scwin water bottle holder and the other on side panel just below speaker grill. Speaker grill easy to get off carefully with small screw driver. I used small bolts with lock nuts and larger washers with small holes. Here is couple photos of finish mount.
Terry.
