• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My cats love Amazon and Revzilla

Yup! There is something inviting about an empty box. Back in the days of paper bags, I had one that would go in head first and run around the room with it.

Years ago, my Saddlebred foal loved huge cardboard boxes. I'd get appliance boxes from stores and toss them in with him. They were as big as he was, but he'd somehow throw them in the air and attack them upon landing or just push them around his little pasture until they were in shreds. One box would last two days at most.

He was born nearly dead with septicemia and rejected by my mare, so after MSU's vet school saved him, we brought him home in the bottom of a big refrigerator box (cut down to about a foot tall) and then raised him in the house for a few weeks. So I guess his love of cardboard boxes was developed early.

He went on to be the love of my life for 30 years and never missed a chance to investigate or try to grab every cardboard box on the side of the roads on garbage pickup days.

They do this to. Just sit in the box, so it's got to be more than just 'hiding from predators' instinct.

I think this is a "hiding" thing. They are camoed by being in the box. Prey...better watch out. One of my cats used to sit on the deacons bench in the entry way and watch for "voles" trying to enter the house. He got quite a few of them that way. He would play "hockey" with them until they expired. A lot of times he would leave daddy a "present" on my pillow.
