• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, back to work tomorrow. Most of the aches and pains are gone. A vacation I will not soon forget

What on earth happened! :yikes:

So glad that you appear safe & (relatively) un-damaged, what were the injuries causing those aches & pains? Have you had them all checked to make sure there's no likelihood of lasting issues?? (Says someone who is nowsuffereing from the delayed impact of injuries recieved decades back!) :sour:

Edit: posts crossed, but the rest still applies, so.... :dontknow:

Great news

That was a :yikes: ryde. Glad we got the rest of the story and you have recouped and are headed back to your routine...:bowdown:for letting us know

:yikes: Glad to see that you're relatively okay; but what happened?? :dontknow:

Pig wreck! (javelina) JFYI they have extremely bad eyesight and will never see you coming. They navigate mostly on smell and hearing. They can be dangerous and have been known to kill a human if startled especially if it has young nearby. Give them a wide birth and they really don't cause much Havoc.

Glad the OP survived. RT looks to be totaled.

Jack

:yikes: That little B@$t@rd did a lot more damage than I would have expected.
They must be so tough, that even their crap has muscles!

I read the original post when it happened, and even saw the pictures. We have wild hogs here and especially in eastern NC, but I never heard them refered to as javelina. I wondered what they were, but didn't know for sure.
On a related note, here is a photo that I took at the "Tree of Shame" in June of 2015 at deals gap. As you see, they can be anywhere.
Glad to see that you are on the mend.

 If the one killed on the Tail of The Dragon was 350 pounds: it was the real deal, and not a Javalina... :yikes:

Very Close Shave

Wow! You are lucky in capitals. Javelinas are solid little critters, about like a 40-60 pound rock with legs.:yikes: The problem with wildlife and other things in the road is that they don't always go where you think they might:yikes:. Glad that you are safe and sound!!! :D

Ah man

:yikes::pray::pray: Glad you're ok, that's one of the reasons, i like the Spyder. I think you are much safer and likely to walk away from something like this. It probably would have been a whole different outcome had you been on a two wheeler. JMO

Dudley, glad you were able to walk away from the javelina killing and missed hugging the big mesquite. Take your time healing up. With what you went through, there will be aches and pains coming and going for a bit.

Happy to hear you're getting back in the saddle again!:doorag:

Haven't heard from you in a long time Bro. Sorry to hear this for sure but glad you're still here to talk about it. You're in our prayers. I'll try and look you up when I get back to San Diego. Take care
