• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I too have just joined the ranks, and my f3 was delivered by the dealer this past Wednesday (and he picked up my trade). Needless to say, coming from the two-wheel world; I've been spending some time trying to "unlearn" all the habits that come with two wheels. Pretty strange feelings at first, but I really started to feel a lot more comfortable today.:2thumbs: I still try to grab clutch and brake levers (that ain't there), but I'm getting better and not doing it as often. :opps: So far at least, I think this is going to be a very enjoyable experience.

Congratulations and welcome both of you. I've had mine for nearly two months but only have a little over 1,000 miles because of all the rain. I enjoy it more every time I ride it. I came from two-wheelers too Trek and you will get used to it pretty quick.

Congratulations..!!

Bitter sweet...:sour: congrats on the new ryde..glad your enjoying it...:ohyea::ohyea:

Thanks everybody!!! Once I saw it in person it was a done deal ;). I wish they get more aftermarket parts for it though especially a carbon fiber dual exhaust.

Yes, each time I get out on it, I'm feeling more comfortable with every mile. The last two days here it has been pretty windy, and although I got used to riding my H-D with it leaned over in the wind - I'm still a little apprehensive with the Spyder. So, today I didn't venture out on the highway for very long. Seems to me the :ani29: weighs more and it is fairly low to the ground - so perhaps it will be a little less vulnerable to side winds than the Harley, though it still tends to be blown around some. Anyone else have any thoughts on how the wind pushes the Spyder around vs a two-wheeler? ...and how best to compensate? :dontknow:

Hey neighbor

Congrats on the new ride. I'm trading my 2013 STS for a 2016 F3 and I can't wait. It's going to be a long winter.[/QUOTE

I see that you are from Salisbury Mills, I am located in Montgomery. We must get together in the spring, or this fall for that matter, and ride together. I just got my F3 a month ago, and my license 2 weeks ago. Took a long, and cold, ride this Saturday up through the catskills. Beautiful ride. Backrest and windscreen are a must. I got the smoothspyder backrest and it's very nice, should have the Madstad windscreen by weeks end. Have your spyder laser aligned at Netzley's in Accord NY. Get yourself a snowmobile and that will shorten the winter. Talk soon. Pm me and we can swap phone numbers.
Eric
