• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I finally found a use for the Instructional Safety card that I know we all read prior to starting up our machines each and every time.

When I have some place to go and I just need the reminder of a few street names and which way to turn, I take a piece of stiff card stock (she didn't really need those Thank You cards, did she?), write down my notes and then tape it to the plastic slider. When I need a reminder, just pull out the slider and read my notes!

But . . . but . . . how do you start your Spyder :dontknow: without reading the card, each time???? :yikes:

:agree: The warranty has certainly been invalidated, and BRP may even have scrambled the Attack Helicopters...

:joke:

Seriously; a GREAT idea!

Actually, I'm fishing to see how many members are sitting on their Lazyboys goofing around on the Internet instead of out riding their machines on this beautiful Sunday morning. I'm farkling and checking in from time to time on the iPad in the garage so at least I have an excuse.

We did 400 miles so far this weekend and maybe some more after NASCAR. We have clouds and a chance of rain--but who cares? Got rained on three times yesterday--once, really good. We drove through the Sockeye fire damage area--it was pretty bad to see all the burned down homes.

I am in my daily morning coffee/SL mode at the moment.

We only got in 150 yesterday but they were mostly 3rd gear twisties so it was still about 5 hours of riding. Need to make some changes on the seat before we hit 400 mile days.

Sad to hear of the fire damage. Being a Southern California dweller that is something that we also live with each summer. In our case, too many fruits and nuts together with an abundance of tinder material. Some things I will never understand.

It has turned out that the cause of the Sockeye fire was drunken campers using fireworks. The legal outcomes are yet to be determined.

Too hot!!!

Really new to the 3 wheel Spyder. Here in Las Vegas it's been 112+ for about the last 3-5 days so getting out is really an early early morning thing. Did get out this morning at 5:30 for my second official ride on my F3. Got out to Lake Mead and back by 7:30 so I got about 40 miles in before the sizzle started. First time on the freeway but there was a really good crosswind so I just got to Boulder City and came back via Lake Mead. I wish the heat would calm down just a bit for some longer rides. But it will come and I should have more mileage experience by that time. Happy Sunday rides to all!

Great..!!

great idea...I was using it as a sun shade for the screen when ryding with the sun to my back..now I have two uses for the flip chart...:roflblack::roflblack:

Very good idea Thanks

Very good idea Thanks

And now for the real truth. The credit has to go to my co-pilot / best friend / wifey poo. She simply pulls out the card one day, stares at it for a moment and says "Why can't you just tape something on here to write on". I love it / hate it when she does that.

Well, back to my trigonometry tables and checking coefficients of thermal expansion (sigh).

Well, if you do not like the heat and dry weather come on up to Ontario Canada.
We have had so much rain this month, we could sell it to you in Calif and other drought areas.
We would be glad to get rid of this rain and have some sun and heat.
We could trade weather perhaps.LOL:yes:

Brings up an idea. A seperate forum section where members post that they would like to take a trip / vacation to "wherever" and see if there is anybody there who wants to trade to come to your neck of the woods. You swap homes for however many days.

Oh, wait a minute. Seems that I remember that it also snows in Ontario. Nevermind.

Actually, at least you folks up there are getting seasons to break up some of the monotony. Throughout the Southwestern US it seems like there have been only two seasons. Hot and dry and not quite so hot but still dry.
