There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. MUTH MIRROR COMPANY………...

Just a Shout Out for Muth Mirror Company. I purchased the rear view mirrors with LED Turn Signals for my 2012 Spyder RT, upon installing the Left Hand side, I noticed a bubble in the glass. Immediately, I called Muth Mirror, told them the situation, they told me to e-mail a photo of the problem mirror.
Within 8 hours I had a reply, they covered the problem mirror under warranty, I had my replacement mirror within 3 days. Great company to do business with and the product is terrific, I hardwired the electrical connections (soldered and used heated shrink tubing). This is a terrific safety add-on and no more searching for the tiny dot that indicates your turn signals are on.

Good to know..!!

nice to find companies that are that invested in their product and back it this way. Glad they got back to you and your install is complete..congrats..!! :2thumbs:

May I ask what you mean by hard-wiring the connectors? If you mean the connectors for the mirrors, how are you going to remove them if you have to? Just curious.

Glad to hear that they did right byou.
Question: Did you have to install the lighting on the back of the mirror, or did they
sell a completed set to them?

Muth Mirror Purchase

Bob,
I purchased mirrors only, you do have an option of removing your Spyder Mirrors, shipping them to Muth, they will install the new LED Mirrors and return ship your mirrors back to you.

mirrors

i did my muth mirrors myself. you have to remove the mirror glass to get the mirror off to cut the plastic behind the glass to cut the plastic so the directional lights fit, they say if you use a heat gun and a paint scraper you will not have a problem getting the mirror off. so i now have 14 years of bad luck because the glass is so thin they brake very fast.

Muth Mirrors

I can't imagine doing this upgrade without a heat gun, maybe Muth Mirrors will give you a pass on your 14 years of bad luck

Hard wiring is what he meant when he said he soldered and used heat shrink tubing on the connections. To remove them would be the same process as removing the OEM glass, then you cut the wires.

As the OEM glass is not intended to be removed, you have to be patient with the removal as you apply heat to soften the two-sided tape that holds them onto the plastic backing plate. You also need to be careful to not apply too much heat as it could cause heat damage to that plastic backing. I had slight bubbling along the edge of one, which is not too noticeable. You'll also warp the plastic backing as you pry it off with the heat gun and paint scraper. Spending a little time to reheat and flatten the plastic before attaching it to the new glass will make for a much better fit.

I love the OEM appearance MUTH gives the mirrors. First rate product. Bought some of the first ones they offered for the GL1800 Goldwing years ago, so knew what I was getting when I ordered them for the Spyder RT.
