• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Must have been thirsty.....

Is there a sticker on the pump saying it has been calibrated?

Around here the Measure and Weights office checks pumps then put a sticker on them to certify the calibration of the pump.

That's a First!!

So you are saying that you put 6+ gallons of gas in your Spyder's Fuel Tank?
That's next to impossible. It makes for a interesting story.
Did you get the full legal amount of Gas?
Did you have your Spyder's Fuel Tank off?

Just checking on the 'Rest of the Story'.

Have a Blessed Day. ....

I know that I have been able to put 6.67 gallons in my F3T. I did not want to run it that low, but there I was. The tank holds gallons on the F3 series and the 2020+ RT

Probably not 'common' or 'recommended', but certainly 'possible'.

I just checked the spec sheet, capacity is 6.9 gallons.

.

Looks like you figured out how to top off the tank.

Most I ever put in was 5.8. That was on my 08 GS. I was sucking fumes that time. The guage showed slightly below empty.

Why should that be next to impossible? Or are you inferring I'm lying? That's the kind of tactic an attorney would use to try and discredit a witness in a trial... "Are you saying you don't know anything about what happened to the missing money?". There really is no Rest of the story. I stopped to refuel, I topped off my tank and this is what the pump showed. End of story.

Your gas prices are high at 4.899 per gallon. :yikes::yikes::yikes:

Ah! The West Coast! Where everything is outrageous! One reason I moved to East Tennessee. Where freedom is king. And fuel, per grade, is over $1.00 a gallon less.

I'm not surprised that you got 6 gallons in the tank. Most quit long before their tank is full. Yet thinking that it is, they don't realize how much more it will hold.

Gas Tank

:chat:...I have only been able to get 5.8 gallons, when I fill up.

Yes, the book lists 6+ gallons.

As far as the price per gallon, if you have BP and/or Amoco stations near you, I highly recommend getting the BP/AMOCO credit card. I get 50 cents off per gallon for 60 days, then 15 cents per gallon thereafter. It's great watching the gas pump readjust to the lower price.

One of the highest in the country. Which is why I never let my car of pickup get below a half tank before I refuel. :(

I don't understand that logic. Two half tanks cost the same as one full tank. What are you trying to accomplish with half tank fill ups?

Probably just less of a 'Big Hit' in the Hip Pocket Nerve at any one time!!

I know it might sound odd to some, but especially for those with vehicles that have a large capacity gas tank, topping it up twice as often means you only hafta find saaay, $50 or so in your wallet each time - but if you wait a little longer so that you end up filling it when the tank is closer to empty, it'll take maybe $100+ to fill it; and while it makes no real difference in the long run, for many it FEELS a whole lot worse to pay over $100 to fill their tank once a week or so than it does to pay $50 each time and top it up twice as often!!

There again, back when I first bought my 2013 Spyder, according to my logbooks it used to cost me about $18-$20 to 'fill the tank', & it never took more than 20 litres; but these days, it's still taking the same sorta litres, but it's generally costing me $40+ to fill it, and a few times lately it's been closer to $60!! :yikes: Good thing I get a lot of enjoyment from riding, so the $$ really aren't that painful, but it still all comes back to the way it FEELS! :lecturef_smilie:

Just Sayin'
