With the new risers, crusing into downtown Boston over the Zaikim bridge is a breeze. (Widest cable stay bridge in the US... the biggest over budget BigDig in history too).
However, the one and only time I ever was slightly nervous driveing was at 60mph, in the HOV lane going down Rt93 south into Boston. Just before the double decks, the road gets very mushy. The sumer heat and high friction of tires has melted the road to produce ruts and wavy surfaces.
Hopefully they will fix it sometime. They are finally fixing the ruts in the 128north lanes leading up to Rt3 north. yeah!
Those things are dangerous!
