• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

MurphyBrown's Adventure Filled Day

Any time we have traveled, including our almost 14,000 journey in '09 on our GS SE5, I have never changed oil while traveling. Especially with synthetic, I just add oil to maintain the level and ride. I doublt very seriously that any Spyder will "blow up" if you go over their already overkill 3000 miles intervals. "Warranty Paranoia" seems to run in our ranks. Relax people, this is a great machine! Ride and enjoy!

Hey Murphy,

I love reading your travel log. It is an inspiration the way you take the god with the not-so-good. THAT is the attitude that keeps you such a yourn, cool chick. Be safe my dear.

Your pal.

John,

Found anothre Great Spyder Tech/Service Center

Oh boy, I was ON IT this a.m. up at 6:00 in the saddle and leaving Gillette, WY for Coeur d' Alene, ID..read somewhere about the distinction of ryding so long you get "monkey butt"...well dang, I wanted to get one of them thar monkey butts (not sure what it is--but hear the cure is at WMart in the gold bond section!!!)...Well, pull into Sheridan to fuel up and thought dang those brakes just don't feel "good"...felt what I call spongy...squishy...like NOT RIGHT...the tech at Gillette said that they had been soaked in oil but he washed them Goooooood (not sure what that means)...but spongy/squishy not how I like my brakes to feel.....so I pull into Billings, MT dealership...tech takes a little spin around parking lot and says yep you gotta a problem. So call back to No Platte dealer..and say washing brakes free of oil, probably not the best solution...so they talked to Billings tech and I am now sporting all new brake pads on the front...rear was fine...and no more squishy/spongy ... so spending nite in Billings...thinking CDA for Mother's Day might not be a bad day...probably not qualify for a monkey butt, but then I will get one of them thar' another time :roflblack::roflblack:
Hey John, SealBoard Dude and all you other Spyderlovers...thanks for the kind words...yep life is always good...when sh$@ happens (oh trust me it will)...then time to get the pitchfork out and start throwing....
So looking for a channel that will show me the Kentucky Derby...didn't watch at dealership and they had a HUGE TV....and a comfy leather couch....
Hello to all and Good Night!!!!:ohyea:

Hello to all and Good Night!!!!:ohyea:

You are having quite the adventure. I am just getting caught up on all my reading as I took my mom to the Kentucky Oaks and the Derby. We had a blast. I am so glad to see someone that has a glass half full instead of the constant complaints that you could have found. You are a ray of sunshine and I am so glad I got to meet you and spend a little time with you at Spyderfest. I would love to take a long distance trip with you on my spyder if the opportunity ever came about.

Deb I agree, Deb Waid and I joked about going home from Spyderfest via Washington with MurphyBrown.
