• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Multifunction for F3-S

When attempting to decide which model of Spyder to purchase, I knew I wanted an F3 however I wanted the multifunction display so that information would be displayed more clearly in difficult to read light. Because I seldom do any sort of touring, I stayed with the 'S' model but has anyone attempted to retrofit this display on a F3-S? Has it resulted in an overall improvement in readability?

I do not recall anyone changing out one type for another. By the way both types are called multifunction display. I always thought the black and white screen like yours was easier to read then the color screen. But everyone has a different opinion.

If it is possible to change the Gauge Cluster is about $800 plus labour.

Not possible. The cluster is too tightly integrated with the ECM. Besides, the black and white LCD on the F3-S is MUCH easier to read in daylight than the color display on the F3-T. Not as pretty but much easier to read.

I agree. I kind of like to think of mine retro and minimalist combined. Still has the bells and whistles, just not as obvious.
