I may be overly concerned about warrantly regarding aftermarket mufflers and I realize by law that cause-and-effect must be proven by BRP if muffler replacement leads to, say, engine problems.
And while I realize there are intakes, fuel mananagement add-ons, and O2 eliminators to make things "better" all of that could be additonal fodder for refusing warranty should soemthing happen to, say again, the engine.
A wild card is if the dealer installs this stuff and/or the third party vendor steps up to cover any potential warranty refusal.
BTW - I fully support (others) putting this stuff on. In fact in my youth you should see some of the chit I did the 60s muscle cars warranty be damned.
More to the point for me...I would like some better sound than the stock muffler provides and being anal in my older age I'd like two mufflers - one on each side. I LIKE the sound of the single Hindle.
So...some questions...
1) I understand that the BRP Hindle pipe has close to the flow (back pressure) characteristics of the stock can or, at least, is close enough that the computer can compenate without issue. Does anyone know if that is true?
2) If true, is there any reason to believe that two Hindles would have any different flow (backpressure) characteristics? Assume a 2-into-1-into-2 arrangement like Ken at Evoluzione originally created. And, yes, I understand that the BRP Hindles are not "miror images" and so there would be some real and cosmetic work to mount them on both sides.
3) What do you think two Hindles would sound like versus one Hindle: the same, louder, much louder?
4) Does anyone know how the Two Bros dual VALE cans compare to the Hindle in terms of flow (backpressure)? Oddly my dealer suggested thes for duals implyign that they woudl install them and stand the warranty. But, again these are not one can per side.
5) Any other muffler suggestions that would be close in flow to the BRP Hindle?
