• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Muffler Paint Issue

NorthStar

New member
Went to my dealer today to pick up the Water Management Kit for the trailer, and while I was there, I informed the service manager that I noticed during my pre ride inspection that the paint on my muffler was beginning to flake off. Tony grabbed his camera, took a picture, and will send it off to BRP. He believes that I should qualify for a new muffler under warranty. Only time will tell.

Just thought I would mention this issue so that everyone can take a look at their RT muffler and make sure that the black paint isn't peeling away.

Same here

Teddy's only got 12,400 miles on his RT-S & has paint flaking off the muffler as well :lecturef_smilie:

I got less than that and it is flaking merrily off of my muffler too! So much for quality for the price huh? Bill

When I had all my exhaust pipes ceramic coated, I had the muffler done as well. also had the aluminum heat sheilds ceramic coated a color to go with the carbon fiber work I had done. Not worried about flaking paint now.
