• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330cc Muffler delete F3 S SS

Don't want to delete cat because I have read differing opinions on it while Spyder is under warranty. Plus looking for a cheaper way to remove stock muffler.

Cat- delete was done the same day, as I got the engine tuned, 1330 engine needs proper air/ fuel ratio's and exhaustpressure.

Did not go over, one night ice... ghegheghe

And Before going to a dealer, which is in no way my intent, I can always put back o.e.m. software, and cat with exhaust

öne night ice, is a phrase, we often use in the netherlands, means like if it has only frozen one night, do not get on the ice.
first think, before do. hope this expalnation, makes the:hun: more clear...

Made the change yesterday for about $14. 2 1/4 " muffler pipe elbow + 2 1/4 to 2 1/2" adapter + muffler clamp. Sounds about the same but don't have to carry around that big ugly muffler. Painting it flat black tomorrow. The engine paint was $19 - more than the "muffler." :D

Now to figure out an easy way to take off the muffler hanger. :dontknow:

Locally, a few years ago, there was a 1330 powered RT that had a similar setup as you describe. Essentially running the converter and no muffler, but had a very short downturn stub pipe.

I was able to ride with them both in town and on the highway. It was pretty loud. Certainly seemed a bunch louder than our Spyder which is also an RT with a 1330, but runs a bypass pipe and stock muffler.

A few months later I saw the Spyder again, they had gone with I believe it was a stock muffler and bypass pipe. Reason was with the exhaust outlet so far forward, and being as loud as it was, it was just too much.

I have retained our converter, sits on a shelf. About three years ago I also made exactly what you described. I never took the time to reinstall the converter and with it the stub pipe. Maybe someday, or maybe not.

Our greatest benefit was heat reduction, and that is something I prefer not to bring back.

I pick up my 2021 special on Saturday…currently have the RLS assassin in black on order. Will post a picture once it’s on—-can’t wait!
