There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. MSF Booklet for 3-Wheeled Vehicles

That is very cool. MSF didn't have that before that I'm aware of. I love the "old school" illustrations...very 50's-60's feel.

Thanks

Thank you so much for posting this. My :spyder2: is the first cycle I have ever owned. I try to be as safe as possible when ryding, but it's nice to see if I'm overlooking an important safety aspect.

Very Nice!

I read most of it and found it to be a great summary of the "best advice available". This should be included with the Spyder.

I've been riding since the mid-60s and did not see one thing I would disagree with.

Thanks for sharing.

Tom

That is very cool, by just glancing I counted about 7 illustrations of the spyder. I haven't taken the time to read it yet but it is nice that they are recognizing three wheeled vehicles both trikes and spyders.

That is great that they made that booklet! Now they just gotta make a safety course for trikes. Maybe they have them in other states but we don't have them here - at least I haven't heard of them. You need a mc license to ride any trike here so most people take the MSF course on those little rebels that the course supplies. I would highly recommend the course, even for someone who rides a trike - they teach a ton of stuff and drill you to death on safety - it's well worth it. Then if you want you can take an advanced riders course after that.

There's a really great course for Trikes & sidecars out here in Hood River - 2.5 day course, and they put you through the ringer - I took the course to learn how to ride a Hack.

I called one of the instructors today (after reading the MSF manual) & asked about the Spyder - comment?? "Aint never seen one - you got one?!?! Bring her around and let's see what she'll do on the course.."

After taking the course, I don't think I want to know...

Here is the 1st line of that "Tips" manual for 3 wheeler's.

Congratulations!
You have gained admission to the wonderful world of motorcycling. You are going to have a marvelous time.

I need to post this on the "My Spyder is giving me grief" threads! :D

Safety course through TRI

Trike-Riders International has a training course for trikes. You can go to their web site to find information about it. I was late getting registered for the Trike Rally at Branson but they were teaching the class there, it filled up fast. Go to: http://www.trikes.org/index.htm and click rider education.

I could find only one minor item in the boolket that is not totally correct. Ovarll it's a great read.

1- Helmets come in all sizes, from extra small (XS) to extra large (XL).

Not exactly correct. While some helmet makers may only offer these sizes, other helmet makers offer sizes from XXXS to XXXL.
