• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This may have been discussed before but , I have 4500 miles on my 2011 Spyder I purchased Dec 15th 2011. I hear I should place a belt tensioner on my spyder . When cruising at 60 then easying up to 70 mph on the expressway I experience a weird feeling in the bike. It's kinda like a vibration or something which as I push through that range to 75 or 80 goes away. Is this caused by the belt ? Any ideas out there ?

Site sponsor and most likely the answer to your problem. You can see the product and read what Jim has to say about it. Read the faqs too.

Is it a bit of a"wandering" vibration that seems to move around on the bike?
If so; your most likely culprit is the belt tension. :gaah:

Mine's in the shop right now to have it checked...

Belt tension. SmoothSpyder is the answer. The original Spyders had a much tighter belt tension spec and did not have this problem. What they had was worn out rear bearings. Since BRP has loosened the belt spec, the vibration at 4500 to 5500 occurs. Smoothspyder makes it go away. You will be impressed.
