• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mpg 9.9

I reset the B-side every time I fill up. had to fill up in the middle of the trip and I went 143 miles before I got home and I noticed on the display that it said I had an average of 9.9 miles per gallon and I know that's not right. I get somewhere in the upper 30s typically. I just come back from the dealer with a 3000 mile first service. Is there anything I can do without contacting the dealer as to why it's obviously displaying an incorrect miles per gallon.

Timely post. I use the A-side to track my mileage between fill ups. My main mileage page was tracking the MPG average correctly but the A-side was showing something like 5MPG at my fill up. When I left the gas station I left the display on the A side so I could watch the instant MPG and average and after a few miles the average started tracking again. I think it is a bug in the dash software where it is not displaying the AVG MPG on the A or B screen unless it is visible and you are moving. Try leaving it visible and see if you have the same result as me.

You have the same engine as I .... my worst mileage was in the 34-36 MPG range and that was right after I bought it ( new ) .... As the miles increased , so did my MPG's .... at 60,000 mi I'm averaging 39 MPG's .... IMHO if you actually got only 9.9 MPG's then something is very wrong with your engine, and you would notice how badly it was performing. .... The main reason I keep accurate records about my MPG's is, it can tell you whether the engine is running correctly .... before you get upset, I would start with a FULL ( to the neck ) tank of gas and ZERO one of the mileage counters .... go about 200 miles and then fill with gas ... TO THE NECK - AGAIN .... divide your total miles travelled by the amount of gas you put in .... this will give a very accurate reading for that Tank's gas mileage .... good luck .....Mike .... another possibility is you are driving at highway speeds in 4th gear or less ....

I have a 2021 RTL. Mine does the same thing. Sometimes it will show less than 10 MPG average on one of the trips and 30 something on the other. I haven't found a pattern to it yet. If I had thought about it yesterday, I would have asked my dealer when he was putting a new rear tire on it. i checked it with a calculator last week and got 36.6 2 up w/ large windshield and 39.0 1 up stock windshield no tour pack.

Having worked in vehicle maintenance for a very long time I have learned not to believe the avg. mpg figures that's shown. The "only" real way to know is to figure it out the old school way. I also have the 2020 RTL and mine is in the mid 30's with about 1,800 miles on my unit so far.

I try to fill it up every 200 miles but know that if need be I could stretch it another 20 plus miles.

:agree: x 2. The miles left in the tank numbers and the mpg numbers are only accurate if you fill to exactly the same level each time. Hence, the suggestion to fill to the neck. I do mine a little different from BK, but both methods work equally as well. I fill to the neck, let it go down, and add enough to bring it to the neck again. Then I am done. I too, get 39-41 consistently.

I do as you say. Spyder is running fine. It is BRP software problems.

I noticed the Avg MPG on my '20 RT did the same but I chalked it up to BRP garbage software and ignored it.
