• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Moving to TX....

The VA is south south Dallas! I'd look at Forney or possibly Rockwell. Depends on what you want and the environment. I live IN Dallas and love it. If you're worried about commutes then log onto google traffic during rush hours every day to get a feel for congestion.

Good luck on your move - were trying to find a cooler place to live!! Haha

I live in Mesquite and love it here. We belong to, and ride with the Spyder Riders of East Texas. A very good group of folks you might want to check in on when you get settled. Quite a few homes for sale here in Mesquite, especially on the south side towards Seagoville.

I am sure happy you are getting all of these warm welcomes to Texas. Mine included. However it does get a little warm here in the summer months....however October through March are great riding months in south Texas but not in Dallas I guess. We ride 365 here, with some cold days, I remember 16 degrees once many years ago. It snowed in 1984....

This being said, it is a hell of a lot better than my four years/winters at Grand Forks AFB, ND. People actually live there by choice. ha ha One good thing about Grand Forks, you never worried about what to wear....you put on a heavy coat every morning with muffler and gloves....

I did not ride the "Sisters" this year as my group, The Hill Country Road Riders, do them several times a year on our Saturday rides. I don't know the final count on the Spyder rally a couple of weeks ago, but I know a count was 51 scoots at one point of the day.

Again, welcome to Texas.

Thanks,
We are just about settled in here. We will be heading back to AZ to pick up the Spyder during the holidays and hopefully start some riding. Hopefully it wont be too cold by then.

Holler at me when you get back to Gilbert. I'd love to meet up with you for a cuppa coffee or whatever.

Go Cowboys!
